I distressed the circles again using jim holtz in black soot and lipstick.. I colored the kitty with colored pencils and gamsol. I then added glitter to his heart on his belly, the glitter I use is doodle bug. I added a sentiment from Stampin UP! and then finished with a pop dotted circle that i added some glitter to, and two cute buttons, a black one and i found a pink heart in my stash, last but not least some cute pink ribbon from Michaels...

Bee Happy

Ok so I am really not sure why it is, but in Virginia it is 60 one day and 30 the next. It was so cold this morning BRRR Ok so thats not really cold, seems as I am a Michigan native I am used to below zero, but cold for Virginia, lol.. It inspired me to make something sunny and happy this morning...

I made a card for Daring Cardmakers and to play in the play date Cafe..
You can click HERE to go to the challenge.. It was going dotty.. Or go to the playdate cafe and use their super colors on a card etc.. CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE PLAYDATE CAFE I love polka dots, and the colors fit with my sunny, warm, happy theme I was going for, lol... so here we go..

Here is my card...
Photobucket

Unfolded it looks like this..

and a close up of the stamped image
Photobucket

the polka dots are on the outside of the back of the card as well as the inside sides and on the scallop in the center.

the paper is from the stack II, and creative memories. I used just b by stampin up, and I used craft ink stampin spots in pastels to color the stamps as well as the inner edge of the daisy... The entire daisy has glitter on it in clear and yellow towards the center... I used an old template I had laying around from SCS, I am not sure whose idea it was, I just found the template and decided to go with it...

I hope you enjoy your day, and sunny wishes to you all!!

How did I do i... pretty much i punch with a 2 inch punch then follow up with a 1 1/2. I stamp and color the images according to the customer on the 1 1/2. Adhere the little one to the big one and then cover a dollar store box with the paper that fits the theme.. This one just happened to be the princesses... It's good to be a girl

Come play with the Play Date Cafe....

Color challenge PDCC08

Hi guys.. tonite was kinda lonely for me, I was on my own with the kiddos while the hubby went out and had guy time... Not too bad except the kids, and one of the cats are all sick (gasp!) Things finally wound down and I decided to partake in a challenge.. I LOVE to stalk the Play date cafe, mainly because of their beautiful pictures that entice you to play along with the colors they pick each week.. This week was no different for me, well I guess it was I decided to play along!

Photobucket

ohhhhh pretty.... LOL no seriously, you want to play along too? Here they are GO TO PLAY DATE CAFE

Onward and upward we go... Here is my card..
Photobucket

How did i do it you ask? Easy peasey...

I started with a pearly red card (sorry the cardstock was just laying in my bin, no idea whose it was) and paired that with some wonderful lime and pinky prints from the stack III.. I then used a cute image from Stretch and Bubbles and then i took my prisma colored pencils and colored in the chicks and used gamsol and stumps to blend it all together. I attached a cute little pearl in the girly chicks flower and then finished up with the cutest sentiment from Inkadinkado. The inks i used tonite were from Stampin Up! in Pink passion and Green galore.. The ribbon was from the dollar spot at Target, and those cute felt flowers were in the flower jar I had on my desk, I used the martha stewart punch for the scallop border, and office max provided the paperclip, the button, hmm outta the jar, lol ... Hope you love it...

Papertake weekly challenge

Happy Wednesday!! Ok so i am jumping on the challenge blog train and I am starting to do more as I find ones that I can actually join in. Today I came across a cute site, Papertake. They have a challenge that was no green and red, which i liked, as i am a blue, purple christmas kinda gal, lol..

Here is the site for the challenge.. Challenge Link

This week the challenge is being hosted by Alison at STRETCH AND BUBBLES. The image i used is from her site, and it is FREE today, so go on over and check her out, and get your creative groove going, and participate in today's challenge with the lovely folks at Papertake!

On to my card..
Photobucket

How did I get the look??
I made an average size card with Stampin up! whisper white cardstock, I then used AC Patterned paper from the Merry Mint collection for the snowflake frame as well as the Brown Diagonal print. I distressed the white with Jim Holts vintage photo ink and then stamped a super cute sentiment using my Studio G clear stamps and block. I have a problem using clear stamps sometimes, they just don't come out as solid as I would like, so I rub a pink pearl eraser over the stamp before i ink it, works like a charm : ) I used one of the new in color colors by stampin up! in Bermuda bay (love it) and finished it off with a 2 inch scallop punch from EK success and a little pop dotted snowflake from K&Company .. Layered it all together after I colored the image from stretch and bubbles (gamsol and colored pencils) and hol reindeer Batman I have one less Christmas card to make!

Now go and get outta here, create something!

Much love..

Glitsy something

Ok so I guess this is a bump of sorts, I have glitz and here it is, lol.. THis is for the stamp something challenge which can be found here Challenge Link

I hate to use something i just used in a challenge, but honestly i don't have anything that is as glitzy as this little ornament.. It is a stamp by Hollyhouse, and if you are not familiar with them what you do is stamp the image and cut different layers out, color them, paint them etc. I chose to glitter mine : ) I used the art glitter glue as it dries clear and my doodle bug glitter.. I used a teal, lavender and silver color. I stamped the stamp with Stampin Up! craft ink as it is super juicy and easy to emboss, I used lavender... Then i used pop dots to adhere the levels and voila, glitz galore...

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Ok so I needed to use a stamp for a DT tryout for stretch and bubbles, and I thought why not put it with the awesome sketch that the Penny black team had for their Saturday challenge... I used lavender Creative memories cardstock, and for the 6 one inch squares ont he sketch I pulled a purple marbled paper from my Old world stack.. The ribbon is Stampin UP! and the stamps are From stretch and bubbles and the word stamps is one of my favorites from Stampers anonymous.. The ink i used is as always Jim Holt, in dusty concord.. I finished it up by distressing all of the edges, and then adding some doodle bug glitter, I use art glitter glue to get it to stick and i love it as it dries clear... I colored the stamp with colored pencils, and i used the gamsol and stump technique on her... Take a look and let me know what you think...

GIngerbread!

What is it about the holidays that has me wanting to just make containers? LOL I want to refurbish every can, bottle and bag that I come in contact with... Well Here is one that I did at my technique class at stamp club, it is simple, but so cute.. The bag and all supplies are Stampin up!.. The bag is food safe and pretty sturdy, if you were on the fence about buying them, I would, they could actually be re-used, they aren't cheap feeling... Well here it is.. the tag is so cute, i love the stamp set I should have bought it, but had to have the forest friends instead, i don't know, i just had to have them, lol... the tag itself was stamped twice i stamped the sentiment, and then again i stamped it on the green, used the circle punch and matched up my words, so simple, yet so cute... I hope you enjoy.. (see pam i didnt forget about you)
